Outer Banks Real Estate Attorneys &
Legal Advice
NC
REAL ESTATE TRANSACTION: On the Outer Banks of
North Carolina, closings are handled by Outer Banks real estate
lawyers who specializes in real estate law. In many other states,
closings are handled by title or escrow companies; and in those
states, the title search might be farmed out to lawyers or real
estate paralegals. Outer Banks real estate attorneys
will prepare the HUD-1, record deeds at the courthouse, disperses
funds (Seller's proceeds and mortgage payoff, agency fees, land
surveyors, all property inspection fees, and tax payments.
SHORT SALES & FORECLOSURES : As a realtor, working with buyers
and sellers of short sale & foreclosure property everyday, I can
tell you that knowing your legal rights upfront is paramount when
facing the options of selling "short" or foreclosing on a property.
Quite frankly even making that one courtesy call "to see if someone
at the bank will be nice to you", may be the biggest mistake you'll
ever make. I always recommend legal counsel, even BEFORE the first
inquiry to the status or delinquency of a mortgage. The advice you
will get from an experienced attorney will go a long, long, way.
Unless you are a NORTH CAROLINA attorney I can assure you don't know
enough. Communicate with a lawyer first. If you have some general
questions on short sales & foreclosures, contact me here. If you
want in-depth legal advice, call Starkey Sharp's.
