Colington Island is a quaint community that is located on an island on the Western part of Kill Devil Hills.  As you wind you way down several miles on Colington Road you will find this Colington Harbour towards the end.  This is a great canalfront community with all the canals bullheaded..and the water is deep too!  Colington Harbor probably has the best canals on the Outer Banks.  If you plan on looking for sound front investment, and are a boating enthusiast, pay attention to the water depth in some areas.  If you are not a boater a prefer a beautiful sand beach you will like some of the soundfront homes that have clean shallow water and an area to sunbath.  If boating is you thing, you want to stuck to the northwest areas, where water depth is greater.
