Outer Banks Home Owner's Insurance for you new home purchase will cover
several factors. If you live in a "Flood Zone," your lender will require
you to have federal flood insurance to cover the ground floor living
space. This is federally regulated by FEMA. Your home owner's insurance policy will cover
any liabilities to
the home or someone else entering your property that may get hurt. Wind
and hail insurance premiums will cover parts of the home that are not
covered under your regular home owners insurance policy. These
"Hurricane" or "Beach" policies can get very expensive if you
are in an undesirable flood zone. Since Hurricane Katrina a few years back, many insurance
companies have change their guidelines/rates.

from hurricanes, tropical storms, and nor’easters. To protect homeowners
